MAXIM SCHROGIN
Owner
Born in 1947 in Los Angeles, I left to study at U.C. Berkeley, where I attained degrees in Comparative Literature and Architecture.
After schooling I went to New York City, where I met the soulmate for my life, Karen Harber. Our relationship grew and flowered through two wonderful children, Jonah and then Julia, who are beyond doubt my most treasured accomplishments.
In the meanwhile, my work life consisted of architectural design and construction management for the City of Oakland, then of estimating and construction management for Oliver and Co. in Berkeley. That work taught me about contracting and construction but also about how to run a successful business. After fifteen years I struck out on my own, first as a general contractor and then as a real estate investor and syndicator, having formed a partnership, Schrogin/Baar Investments, in North Berkeley. In SBI, I was able to bring my expertise in contracting, property management, property development, and financing to good effect in our business.
I currently spend time beyond work serving as a mediator with various agencies including Mediators Beyond Borders; on the Board of the Jewish Community Center of the East Bay; and as past President of the Berkeley Rotary working with the Rotary Action Group for Peace. In the time that I have remaining, I try to bicycle, do yoga, and travel.
AYANA ROBERSON
Office Manager
I joined Schrogin/Baar Investments as Office Manager in February 2016. I have over 20 years of experience as an administrative professional in the non-profit, startup and corporate arenas.
I was born in San Francisco, CA and have lived in the Bay Area the majority of my life. Right after graduating from high school, I joined the Army reserves and then went on to attend Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, GA. I’m the proud mother of three lovely children… one son and two daughters.
In my spare time, I enjoy working out and doing various activities with family and friends. I’m also a huge San Francisco 49ers football fan and love tailgating and attending games. I even travel out of state for away games from time to time which is a lot of fun.
KIM AND KEN MAY
Property Management and Maintenance at the Snyder Portfolio, Snyder, TX
Our names are Kim May and Ken May. I was born in Redbud, IL, in 1959, and Ken was born in Reynolds Mo. in 1958. We were married in Jan of 1982.
We have been working in property management since 1999. We started out managing 2 mobile home parks in Carlsbad, NM. We managed the mobile home parks for 8 years. In 2007 we started our own remodeling company in Las Cruces, NM. In December, 2011 we got the opportunity to join Schrogin/Baar investment LLC. We took over as the Manager and Maintenance Manager of the Western Crest & Windridge Village Apartments in Snyder, Texas. In the last few years we have added the College Palms & the Deep Creek apartments, as of now we manage a total of 184 units.
VICKI AND PAUL MORANVILLE
Property Management and Maintenance of Westwood Village, Andrews, TX
Paul and Vicki Moranville came to work for MaxiManagement in March of 2017. Before coming managers for Westwood Village Apartments, Paul was an over-the road truck driver for 29 years. Vicki worked for Staybridge Suites in Las Cruces, New Mexico as the executive housekeeper and had been in that position for 9 years. They have been married for 32 years. Together they have 4 children. Lauren, a homemaker; Adam, a truck driver; Josiah and Parker are both Marines. They also have 6 grandchildren and one on the way in December of 2017.
OSCAR ARMENDARIZ
Property Management of Meadowglen and Arbor Gardens, Lubbock, TX
I was raised in Lubbock and I consider myself a native. I went to school: elementary, junior high, high school, and I am an alumnus of Texas Tech University. I am well versed in history of Lubbock, the present status of Lubbock, and of things to come. I have been a realtor for 14 years and involved in the sale of over 800 properties. I currently serve as the department head for Coldwell Banker Residential Property Management. I have a passion for investors and increasing their portfolios and helping them become more profitable.
I have been married to my wife Lita since 2009 and we had our beautiful daughter in 2011. I am a die-hard college football fan and a Texas Tech football season ticket holder. When I am not working or going to college football games my wife and I are traveling to San Antonio and the Hill Country to visit family and in search of the next great BBQ joint, or the next great Texas adventure.
